Sherrie Lawson is an educator, an activist, and a survivor.

On September 16, 2013, Sherrie’s life was forever changed when a gunman opened fire at the Washington Navy Yard. A survivor of that tragic mass shooting, Sherrie has spent the years since not only healing, but using her voice to uplift others carrying invisible wounds.

Today, Sherrie is a dedicated educator, an activist for survivor mental health, and a passionate mentor helping shape strong, compassionate leaders. Whether in the classroom, the community, or in conversation, she leads with empathy, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to justice and healing.
